Paula O’Connor

Paula has been working in the field of hand therapy since July 2014 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) from Edith Cowan University. Paula regularly attends the WAOTA and AHTA Hand Interest Groups in Perth, as well as having presented at the AHTA Hand Interest Group and at in-house staff professional development meetings on conditions such as Elbow Ligament Instability and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Paula has completed further professional development courses in hand therapy including the AHTA’s Fundamentals of Hand Therapy, Closed & Open Advanced Trauma courses, and Splinting courses. She is due to attend a course in Hand Therapy Interventions in Stroke Rehabilitation in the USA 2019 and to attend Birgitta Rosen’s course in Peripheral Nerve Injury and Guided Plasticity in October. Paula is an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association.
