Taryn graduated with a Masters of Occupational Therapy from Curtin University in 2012 with an undergraduate in Sports and Exercise Science from Edith Cowan University in 2010. She joined the team at Specialised Hand Therapy Services in 2015 and previously worked in the public system at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Hand and Upper Limb Clinic and at Fremantle Hospital Hand Clinic before moving into the private sector. Taryn has achieved her Certified Hand Therapist (USA) qualification and is a full Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. She is also a member of WA Occupational Therapy Association and participant in WAOTA Hand Interest Group. Taryn has completed a range of hand therapy courses including Fundamentals of Hand Therapy, Advanced Fracture Management and the Wrist Workshop. Taryn has commenced research at Specialised Hand Therapy Services into best evidence based practice for the treatment of tendinous mallet injuries, working towards improving the management of these patients.
